Womens Vintage Clothing - Vintage Aprons
We are always on the look-out for vintage aprons from the Victorian era to the 1960's. If anything takes us back to simpler times of house and home, it is the vintage apron. Most vintage aprons are made of cotton, but vintage holiday aprons can be made from taffeta or acetate. Sheer nylon aprons are a bit more dressy and are perfect for the holidays and are reminiscent of the 1950's and 1960's. Some vintage aprons were hand-crocheted and are harder to find. Many antique or Victorian aprons were full length and were made from cotton silk, organdy, and plain cotton. Bodice style aprons from the early 1900's were pinned on and do not have a tie. Later on, aprons from the 1930's and 1940's were made from feedsack, or printed cotton fabrics, these were bib style aprons. The 1960's and 1970's brought us aprons with bold prints and in bold colors. There is nothing more fun to collect , and wear, than a pretty vintage apron! Hooked On Vintage is aways searching for vintage aprons of every era, in every fabric. We have aprons in stock so if you dont see what your looking for, please email us with your request.
