An absolutely gorgeous vintage dress from the 1980's in a vibrant, high quality beaded / sequins purple silk. The print on the fabric is striking with feather-like colorful flowers in rich red, pink, black and turquoise blue. Each flower is decorated with pretty sequins and tube beads, The front edge of the over dress and the sleeves are trimmed with glass tube beads. I noticed 5 missing beads at the bottom of the V on the over-dress, easily replaced. This dress has incredible details from top to bottom. The base dress is strappy with V neck and open back. It is a full style and has a back zipper. The super blousey over-dress is permanantly attached with gathers near the lower hip area. It has an open V front and very full, bat-wing type sleeves. Below the gathers at the hip is a drapy band of silk that accents the flowy, scarf-like, peaked hem-line. Sequins and beads completely cover this amazing dress. The style of this dress is replicated from the 1920's flapper era. Incredible and hard to find! |
